The courtyard garden is the heart of this elegant, remodeled home and whether you’re eating breakfast on the patio while watching the hummingbirds dash about or having a late lunch and sipping a margarita, you will love lingering under the pomegranate tree, knowing that everything has just slowed down to the perfect speed.

Casa Julia features a contemporary open concept kitchen with a gorgeous center granite table. Like the living room, it opens onto the courtyard making it easy to eat all your meals outside on the roomy
patio furniture.

The principal bedroom with ensuite bathroom also opens onto the courtyard and from the king bed you can watch the hummingbirds build their nests in the garden. Soak in the tub after a day of exploring the town or step out to the secluded outdoor shower and feel like you’re in a garden paradise.

The ground floor is completed by a cozy family room with a smart TV, guest bathroom and desk area.                                                                                                                                                                                               

Upstairs features two guest bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom and queen beds, an attractive laundry room, and a just remodeled office with two desks and two recliners that opens onto the upper patio.                                  The amazing hanging bed is the perfect place for a siesta – but be careful: you may never move from that spot!

Casa Julia has a great location and is within a short walk of several wonderful restaurants, shops, a traditional Mexican market, and the Instituto Allende that offers classes in everything from jewelrymaking to Spanish.  A flat 12-minute walk brings you to the jardin where you can listen to the mariachis and the children playing while you wonder... what took me so long to get here?
